To celebrate the Book of our
Lord-Glorified be He-and to revive the sunna [model practice] of our
beloved and chosen Messenger (God bless him and grant him peace), which
recommends us to take extreme care of the Holy Qur’ān through reciting, chanting,
memorizing, understanding, contemplating, learning, studying and teaching, Imam
Abdessalam Yassine’s website
is honored to add a new column dedicated to the Last Testament: the Holy Qur’ān. This new
addition comes to serve one of the most important objectives of the School of
the Method founded by the Imam (God preserve him). God’s Messenger (God bless
him and give him peace) said: “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’ān and teach
it.”
This column-to be enriched in the near future, God
willing-will temporarily include two sections:
1. Selected Recitations
performed by professional chanters of the Holy Qur’ān from around the world who are
renowned for their beauteous and charming voices, effective performance and
conveyance of the meanings of God’s Word. Such recitations have been carefully
selected by the Imam himself. Melodious voices and vivid hearts recite and
chant the Word of the Generous Lord, giving rise to humility and attentiveness
in the hearts, and arousing the longing for the meeting with God-Exalted and
Glorified be He.
2. Meritorious Chapters
and Verses of the Holy Qur’ān
whose merits have been singled out by the Prophet (God bless him and grant him
peace) in specific hadiths.
God’s Messenger (God bless him and give him peace) urged us to recite them
regularly and memorize them. They protect the one who reads them from all evils
and raise him higher in the stations of nearness to God-Almighty is He.
We pray to God that He increase our
love-and yours-for His Book so that we be amongst his favorite servants and
chosen people, and that He enable us to memorize His Word in order that we be
in the company of the honorable, righteous angels on the Day [of Judgment]
wherein the memorizer of the Holy Qur’ān is told, “Read, rise and recite [the Qur’ān] as you
used to recite it in the worldly life, for your station will be at the last
verse that you will recite.” Hadith reported on the Messenger (God bless him and
grant him peace).
